Deepwater Art Show

Deepwater Art Show

The Deepwater Art Show is an exhibition of regional and interstate artists. It was first held in 2006 with over 300 people attending the Opening Night and went on to be held in 2008, 2010 and 2014.

More than $11000 was raised for charity at the first event and the successive shows had equal success.

The Deepwater Art Show is staged by Deepwater Art Inc. a-not-for profit organisation which raises money for Deepwater charities and community groups while promoting art and music in Deepwater.

The Powerhouse Motorcycle Museum in Tamworth, NSW is a must see for any bike enthusiast. The museum houses a private collection of over 50 motorcycles in pristine working order from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. The collection of bikes includes Ducati, Triumph, Honda, Velocette, Laverda and an extremely rare limited edition F4 MV Agusta Series ORO. All motorcycles have been immaculately restored to concourse condition, plus there are some limited edition current models. Come and see one of the most unique and highest quality displays of motorcycles in Australia.

In our regular tours, visitors marvel at our antique machines humming away as they work their magic to turn bales of the finest Australian merino wool into yarns in the vibrant colours for which we have become famous. Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music Limited (The Con)

The Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music provides outstanding instrumental and vocal tuition to approximately 940 students of all ages in the community of Tamworth and the region. Our highly skilled teachers provide individual, group and ensemble tuition to members of the community, ranging from early childhood to adult students, and our programs are designed to cater for a range of abilities from beginner to advanced. The Conservatorium provides strong support to other community organisations through involvement in their activities, particularly by providing musical ensembles for various community functions. Numerous workshops and master classes are offered, providing excellent opportunities for students to expand their musical knowledge and understanding. These are conducted by visiting musicians who are considered to be leading exponents in their chosen fields. Many professional musicians visit the Conservatorium each year resulting in an exceptionally high standard of presentation to the students. The Conservatorium conducts a variety of activities including concerts, recitals, master classes and workshops that are available for community participation.

We are a local, community co-operative that operates as a retail shop and a studio.

Everything we sell in our shop has been handmade by a Walcha and district locals.

We run regular workshops and classes, and provide a permanent Children's Craft Corner. Creative groups such as quilting or craft can visit and use our workspace for the day or the weekend, or if you would like to run a workshop you can hire our studio space.

We are able to fund the running of our shop and studio through membership, commission sales, fee-paying workshops and group attendees.

Langford

Langford

Langford House is an Italian inspired grand Edwardian Mansion, located one kilometre south of Walcha on Thunderbolts Way.

Guided tours are available with the owners, by prior arrangement only. A tour takes around an hour.

Construction of William Fletcher's "Langford" mansion commenced in May 1903 and was completed in October 1904.

Langford is a grand two story building constructed of locally produces red brick, featuring 22 rooms and a five story central tower overlooking the circular entrance driveway and extensive surrounding gardens.

Inside you will find locally made items including earrings, lanyards, personal care products, nursery items, as well as delicious jams and chutneys. Fenwicke House also offers upcycled products from small deco items to larger items of furniture. Walk through to the delightful teahouse and enjoy a lovely devonshire tea or a variety of home cooked soups or Turkish toasties. Everything we create at Fenwicke House is based on helping others to feel fabulous. Fenwicke House also offers two well appointed bedrooms for guests to stay and enjoy Walcha, as well as the wonderful New England area at their leisure.
