Kathy Creamer
Little Pink Dog Books

Picture book writer, illustrator & publisher

Kathy is an award-winning children's picture book writer and illustrator who has also won awards for her biographical and short story writing. Kathy began her career in children's writing, illustration and publishing thirty years ago, when she was commissioned by Oxford University press to illustrate their Primary and Junior School reading series and activity books. Together with her husband, Peter, Kathy now runs Little Pink Dog Books, a children's picture book publisher specialising in getting new and emerging writers and illustrators into the children’s picture book market.

Kathy is passionate about capturing unusual moments and people in the community - those things that we sometimes don't notice - and using those moments to inform her art. She sometimes exhibits at the Armidale Art Gallery, particularly her sculpture portraits. She also rescues animals and has a particular soft spot for the Chinese Crested Hairless dogs.
